Mind and Ayurveda

Gunas: Sattva, Rajas and Tamas

According to Ayurvedic literature during the third month, which we are inside the womb of our Mother creates quality (gun) of our mind. Is directly influenced by what she experienced that time, its moods and feelings through she was eating and the environment, she alive. This does not mean that our mind does not inherently may change over time. Influence in our child hood and elections that we do as adults can certainly move the quality of our mind.

There are three basic characteristics of the mind (in fact there are seven variance, but consider the three benefits for simplicities) that we can inherit. These characteristics in mind may depend on the food we eat, the events of the life and habits of life style and include:

Sattva (goodness): have you ever goes into the room and someone that they are instantly felt comfortable around, and seem be having an impact on many other well met? There is a light or auras of the person who derived happiness inside you and be appropriate for the contentment within them? This is the person who learns them how to cultivate their awareness of Sattva inside or its amount was blessed inherent in the time of their birth. Sattva is a feel-good state of mind. It provides a balanced person, light, reference, content, and willing to coach. To increase the Sattva: eat more food full of prana enlivened (vegetables, whole grains and raw milk), avoid meat, the practice of its own investigations, live sustainable lifestyles, work and rest, eat freshly prepared meals, to avoid the debris, frozen, stale or fast food.

Rajas (passion): most of us have some degree of the Philippines in our mental pallet or I feel at least as frequently activated. The Philippines is active and desire. It is the mental state, which propels one into action towards the achievement of the objective. Even the objectives somewhat socially precious take consider the Philippines to the acquisition. Rajasic minds are never fulfilled. If satisfied one goal, "craving the desire of another has its place. This relates to the status, success and Fame. Rarely lets you rest, and is almost always preoccupied the next progress, activity or thing to be done. The Philippines is the desire to keep busy and need to feel that we are consistently achieving, acquiring or more. To increase the Philippines: Live activity, competition, control of caffeine and stimulants, Like late into the night, excessively work excess, eat much spicy food, over heat, foster anger and fighting.

Tamas (ignorance): Tamas is mental quality of drug addiction, the lack of willingness, gluttony and inertia. People who are lazy and are Tamasic minds often feel helpless or work. They forget or not realized themselves as creators. Blame others for their in-depth, complete answer has not learned, often refuse to learn to sleep, eat and drink a lot. Feel tired and primitive in others all the time. They want to lie on the coach and have difficulty with the start or finish. They feel like they are captured in the fog. To increase the Tamas: living a sedentary lifestyle, excessive consumption of drugs and/or alcohol, too much sleeping, eating the old, old, baked or frozen food. Tamas can also be increased by the lack of direction in life, whether or not you know its objective or believing one is possible.
